Summer is here, the temperature outside says it all. With the very scarce summer teaching load (one subject) comes great "famine" for a teacher like me. Needless to say, I'm not excited about that.
BUT there are still some things I can get excited about...like SWIMMING! We will be taking swimming lessons again, same as last year. I'm not sure though if we'll be going for advanced or basic (not sure if we're even allowed to repeat the basic lessons). But it doesn't matter really, we're not in it for the lessons but the fun. It would be nice to travel too, but cost is directly proportional to that kind of fun so that may not be feasible. Summer is also a perfect time to catch up with my reading (hmp! as if unsay basahon, fiction diay). I've accumulated lots of books from John Updike, John Irving, Maeve Binchy, Anne Tyler, and some classics already so it's perfect time to indulge in this kind of inexpensive fun. A part-time job would also be very much welcome. I need all the income I can get hold of because, you know, I still have bills to pay. (Income may decrease but needs don't...that's what's sad about it.)
So there, I'm positive that I'm gonna get through this summer just as I have gotten through many past summers.
