We celebrated our CCS Days during the last two days of February. Students and instructors alike enjoyed two fun-filled-and-no-class days bonding and showcasing our academic prowesses. We had a program where everyone was given a lollipop (for snacks). Hehe...it's all we can afford. Well, we might not be able to fill everyone's tummys but we certainly can feed everyone's brains. (char! mao vah?) We had a Computer Quiz Show after the program where I participated as the scorer. It was a fine job except for the fact that I was alone at other side of the stage opposite the quiz questions projection. But that's ok coz I got to eat while scoring (I even consumed two burger-and-juice sets).
2nd year BSCS studes dancing to "Jai-Ho" (from Slumdog Millionaire). I heard this was almost impromptu. Good job!
To show off our REAL talents, we held the Programmer, Web Designer, and Hardware Designer of the Year competitions on Friday afternoon at the CCS laboratories. Miss Cathy and I appointed ourselves as "documenters". Our job involves going around the rooms where the contests are held and take pictures. Syempre apil jud mi sa picture-picture oi. (Actually, ang pagsamoksamok jud amo role.)
Ibutang ta lang nga ako jud nabuhat ani...hehe.
Samok-samok ra jud!
On Saturday, the Computer Engineering students exhibited their special projects at the S&T lobby. Here, I met some new robotic friends. If Japan has Asimo, then we have Asyong, the robot that can do a vertical split like this one:
Asyong doing his most powerful move
I can't believe I finally met Wall-Eh! I gotta get his autograph. Wall-Eh! can spell my surname but can't pronounce it coz he says it's like an alien name.
Wall-Eh got frustrated just trying to say my name.
Move over Tiger Woods, here comes Tigger 2.0, the robotic golfer, equipped with all the mathematical equations with each swing.
Tigger 2.0 going for the hole!
This is Elmer 3.0, the soccer superstar. He has just recently turned down all offers to play in the World Cup with Germany, Brazil, France, and England. He says he'll play for Team Philippines only.Elmer 3.0 going for the goal
Behind every robot is a human being...

Instead of Asimo, you named your robot as "Asyong". Good take!
