At the moment...

It's never too late...

Something is really exciting me right now...a dream I have forgotten for years that I recalled moments ago...

Earlier, we were chitchatting in the faculty room and our topic drifted to engineering. One of my colleagues mentioned that it was his dream to become an engineer. Suddenly I recalled, it was my dreamest of dreams too. I wanted to build and I love math and computing...I dreamed of becoming a Civil Engineer.

You know when we're younger we tend to dream a lot? This was one of those. I had lots of dreams---to be a teacher, a lawyer, a musician, a newscaster. But this one stood out because it was made when it was actually time to decide a career path, my senior year in high school. My career assessment test even showed that I was made to be an engineer. But my parents couldn't afford to send me to college other than the one nearest home, which didn't offer civil engineering. Since math is where my power is, I took up Statistics instead. So when I started college I have forgotten about engineering...

...until today. And what is exciting about remembering it today is that I realized that I can actually do something about it now. I can afford it certainly, I just don't know if I have the guts. I'm really thinking about starting it maybe this summer. My insides are flipping of excitement...I really want this!

(We'll see if the feeling expires tomorrow...if not, then I'll do it.)
