My 2008

** Stole this from Jiena **

1. What did you do in 2008 that you’d never done before?
stepped on Luzon (Manila and Nueva Ecija) grounds, be on a plane, got a masters degree, swipe like there's no bill to pay for, sing the karaoke

2. Did you keep your new year's resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Honestly, I don't remember any New Year's resolutions I made last year. I always make them but you can tell I totally suck at keeping them. This year I'll just be general: be happy!

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
wives of colleagues

4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, fortunately.

5. What countries did you visit?
None, unfortunately, I didn't have the budget, I've always wanted to travel out of the country though. Hopefully, that opportunity will come this year.

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
travel adventures, organization (as in, being organized with everything especially work-related), a real lovelife

7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Sometime during the later half of the year (july-ish?)...being frustrated of not knowing whether to be sad or be relieved that my relationship with someone has ended at the same time having to maintain a different type of relationship with that same person

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Academically, it's graduating MCS. Personally, it's being able to accept the things I can't control and being able to get on with life happy as a bee.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Being sooooooo naive leading to being overly trustful, which lead to feelings of betrayal...being too nice, in general

Serious cases of sinusitis...suffered the whole year through and I feel it's worsening

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My mini notebook and digicam (I love to take pictures even if my cam is a cheap one.)

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
My parents. For being more adventurous (even more than I am) and open to new ideas.

Recent ex. For not being clear with things and wasting my time in the process.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Gadgets and shopping splurges

Candleburn by Dishwalla and Two Beds and a Coffee Machine by Savage Garden. They're old songs but I've only noticed them this year and I kept playing them.

17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? I've been through a lot this year and I can say that I came out happier.
ii. thinner or fatter? Fatter, which is a good thing coz I realized I'm uglier when I'm thin.
iii. richer or poorer? Richer in experiences and knowledge but dirt poor in the pocket.
