A great weekend

I just have to post about my beautiful weekend.

Last Saturday, we had classes for organists and for the first time in a long long time I went. For the first time, I was asked to play in front of other organists (and students). I was nervous but my performance wasn't so bad although I could have done better with a familiar organ. After our class I made some new friends. Then after some quick planning, we went swimming in the afternoon at my new friends' place. I had a great time swimming and bonding with new friends who were strangers just that morning. I was so comfortable with them. It was also time for me to flaunt my new swimsuit that I have always wanted to wear since the day I bought it but didn't get the chance 'til that time.

The next day, Sunday, I woke up so early in the morning to fulfill my regular church duties. I played the church organ and I felt great coz I really think I nailed it. That was because I kept praying to Him for guidance and to lend me some talent before the service started. In the afternoon former boardmate and choirmate, Vicky, came to visit. It was great catching up with her. Vicky is one of people I totally admire personalitywise. She has influenced me one way or another with her I-don't-care-what-you-think-I'm-not-doing-anything-wrong-anyway personality and I really admire her for always being able to pull that off. We had a "mini-concert" at home singing the videoke (karaoke) and not minding that we don't hit the notes right or that our voices are not that good. Videoke-singing is really something new to me. I never sing when I'm not in the choir coz I know I don't have a bearable voice. That is what Vicky just made me do and I felt great. I figure I need to get used to singing the videoke anyway coz it's like the default bonding idea with my co-teachers and other friends (maybe next time I can sing with them).

So there. That was a great weekend, wasn't it?
