A friend's lil bro graduated elementary so we treated him to a great lunch. Went to a double date +1 at Tabunok market for a delicious and very affordable (compared to the ones at the mall) lechon feast. Eaten with hanging rice (puso) with bare hands, it was one of the best lunches ever! We also went to Naga park with its baywalk and food stalls to stroll around. I say it's one great place for bonding with family and friends and lovers, especially at dusk. Hoping to be back there someday.
Sunday was mostly church duties and food tripping. Finally made my first tortang talong (fried crushed eggplant with egg), which was not so easy without an actual grill and using only a stove (because the eggplant has to be grilled and peeled first). Nonetheless, it was a success. This was paired with steamed okra...the best healthy lunch!
There will be more weekends like this, I promise!
