An affair ten years in the making

Batch 2000 Reunion: May 15-16, 2010

After 10 years, so much is different yet nothing has really changed! Nangaminyo na kasagaran, naa nay mga liwat, mature na kunuhay...pero they're still the same old wacky, yagayaga-on, jolly selves ug wala japon nawala ang mga nicknames sama sa tobol, tahop, itik, tuyom, opaw, baboy, ok-ok, ug uban pa!

We invited our mentors and most of them were there. The great thing is that they still remember us...kung unsa mi ka-bibo ug ka-badlongon sauna. Ang mga gals kay it seems daw walay nabag-o sa panagway pero ang mga guys nang-increase ang mga size (mura na'g mga papa). Haha!

We had our program and salo-salo and bonding chika-chika at the VSU Resort (yes, there's a resort inside the campus). Overnight ang chika ug bonding moments.

The next day, we went on an island adventure to Canigao Island, Matalom, Leyte---home of white sand beach and crystal-clear waters. Lami pa jud kaayo ang kaon nga sinugbang pusit ug seashells ug baboy. Pagtong na kaayo ko pagpauli.

After Canigao, we went to Sogod, Southern Leyte at the Gerona residence to chill and bond some more. Jess and Gee sponsored our very hearty equipped with a lechon supper plus the overnight inuman (of course, I didn't drink pero involved ko sa chika-chika). There I reconnect with long-lost-now-found friend, JP, ang pinaka-close nako nga friend sa elementary years (especially sa later years grades 4 to 6). I wish I could have paused the moment. Naa man diay unta siya i-open up sa ako pero wala siya kasulti...sayang! (later na ko kabalo)

The next day, I had to leave early back to Cebu para kaabot pa ko sa akong klase that day. Bitin kaayo ang time pero at least, I think, sulit kaayo ang bisan very short time (ten years in the making) nga nagkauban-uban mi. Unta we can do this again. Ug unta kung mahitabo man ug balik, naa na ko partner nga ika-introduce...nyahahahaha! (fingers crossed)
